Dr. Ramsey Elhosn is a board-certified general ophthalmologist with more than 20 years of clinical and surgical experience, now serving patients in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida at VIP Laser Eye Center. He provides comprehensive eye care, ranging from routine exams to advanced surgical procedures, with a strong focus on patient education, accessibility, and outcomes.

Dr. Elhosn cares for a wide spectrum of conditions including diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, dry eye, and urgent ocular issues. His surgical expertise includes cataract surgery and eyelid procedures such as blepharoplasty, with a high-volume background that includes over 15,000 cataract procedures and 6,000 refractive surgeries.

He began his medical journey at the University of North Carolina and earned his medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine. He completed his surgical internship at George Washington University, followed by residency training in ophthalmology at the University of Maryland.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Elhosn practiced in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he performed thousands of procedures including LASIK, PRK, cataract surgery with premium intraocular lenses, and cosmetic eye procedures. He was also among the first surgeons in Nevada to perform Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) surgery for patients with high myopia. In addition to his clinical work, he served as an associate professor of ophthalmology at Touro University in Henderson, Nevada, where he trained physicians in ophthalmic surgical techniques.

Dr. Elhosn is known for taking the time to educate patients on their options, helping them understand the benefits and considerations of each approach so they can make informed, confident decisions about their care.
